The police ordered tonight to evacuate the Capitol building, as the seat of the US parliament is called, in Washington, due to an aerial threat, according to official sources quoted by the AFP agency.
“The Capitol was evacuated as a precaution tonight,” Capitol Police posted on social media.
The Capitol was evacuated out of an abundance of caution this evening.
There is no threat at the Capitol.

According to the first reports, several dozen police officers keep the area cordoned off while the corresponding investigations are carried out.

Witnesses to the events say they saw an “aircraft” near the Capitol.
In social networks there is already talk of a United States Army plane flying over the area to protect the Capitol.

The first versions indicate that the authorities made several calls to the small aircraft that was flying over the Capitol, no message was answered.
Until now, the type of aerial device that caused the evacuation of the Capitol is unknown.
