Gulistan Atti: Turkey continues to block the flow of the Euphrates River – ANHA | hawarnews

Referring to the policy of the Turkish occupation state against the peoples of North and East Syria, Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party Central Committee member Gulistan Atti said: “Once again, the Turkish occupation state carries out its dirty policy against us, as it repeatedly blocks the water of the Syrian and Iraqi peoples, in flagrant violation of the statutes”.

He continued: “Turkey does not accept any Kurdish entity here. They launched a military attack on Syrian territory. They wanted to occupy all of North and East Syria, but their plan failed, and now they are resorting to a dirty policy, which is to block the water of the Euphrates River from the peoples of Northeast Syria.”

Noting that the Turkish occupation state blocked the water of the Euphrates River, which caused great harm to the peoples of the region, in front of the eyes of the whole world, he said: “The Syrian and Iraqi state must demand their right to water, and all countries in the world must move and not remain silent about this crime they are committing. Those who ask for human rights must explain to the Turkish state that these waters are also the right of the Syrian people.”

He added: “Turkey continues to implement its dirty policy also in this holy month, the month of Ramadan, the month of kindness and blessing. The Turkish state, which expresses itself as an Islamic state, cuts off the water to the people, blocking the water of the Euphrates, they caused great harm to people, to agriculture and to animals as well.”

At the end of his speech, Gulistan Atti called on all components of northeastern Syria to intensify the struggle against the Turkish occupation policies on the peoples of the region, and also called on humanitarian and human rights organizations to put pressure on the state.
