Wins for Minnesota and Nashville – Bitter bankruptcy for Vancouver

The Nashville Predators have taken a big step towards the playoffs in the NHL. The Predators defeated the Calgary Flames 3-2 on penalty shootouts and now have a six-point lead over the non-playoff spots.

The Minnesota Wild are already firmly represented in the post-season. The team around superstar Kirill Kaprizov won 2-0 at the Montreal Canadiens. The Vancouver Canucks may have to bury playoff dreams after a 3-4 shootout defeat by the Ottawa Senators.
