National player Nico Schlotterbeck has denied reports that an agreement has already been reached on a move to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. “I read that, but I can say that nothing will happen until the end of the season,” said the 22-year-old after his SC Freiburg reached the DFB Cup final on Tuesday evening Sky. “I said I’ll make my decision after the season, nothing has changed.”

Schlotterbeck had been in the spotlight with convincing performances in the current season and played in the national team. Last month he won his first two internationals against Israel (2-0) and the Netherlands (1-1). In Freiburg he has made 33 compulsory appearances (four goals) so far this season. Schlotterbeck came to the sports club from Karlsruher SC in 2017. He spent last season on loan at Union Berlin. His contract in Breisgau is limited to 2023.
