Popular tool that adds Play Store to Windows 11 installs malware – Computer – News

I think it’s not so much a case of blaming the victim, but more of an appeal to Common Sense.

It is known that a lot of software that promises to do things that are not in the OS, often also does less neat things.

Look at many activators of all kinds of things. Sure, they activate the product, but often you also get malware as a gift. Ditto for things like key generators, cracks, etc. Here too it is not exactly unusual that some unwanted gifts are sometimes included. Just run them through multiple virus scanners….

Especially with this tool, if it contains redundant functionality like this:

and even activate Windows and Microsoft Office as described on GitHub.

should not ring one alarm bell, but a complete battery of alarm bells.

This activation functionality is already included in Windows and Office itself. Why on earth would you need or want to use a 3rd party tool for this?

Zoals de Engelsen al zeggen: if it sounds too good to be true, than it probably isn’t true.
