One of the steps taken Persebaya Surabaya is binding the contract of 15 potential young players with a duration of 4 seasons ahead.
This was conveyed by the manager Persebaya Surabaya, Yahya Alkatiri.
A total of 15 players are included in the 27 squad that have signed contracts for Persebaya Surabaya this season. Of the 27 players, 4 of them are foreign players.
“Now even the 4-year contract has 15 people maybe, it’s 50 percent (of the squad),” he said Yahya AlkatiriMonday (18/4/2022).
This number is very likely to increase, because there are still three young local players who are in the negotiation process.
“It could be that the new three are long contracts too,” he explained Yahya Alkatiri.
Regarding the names of the three players who are currently negotiating, Yahya is reluctant to give any leaks.
But what is certain is that the majority of the Persebaya squad this season, comes from the DNA of Persebaya EPA U-20 who won the Elite Pro Academy (EPA) in the 2019 season.
