In the 12th minute, Neymar gave Paris Saint-Germain the lead. For the 30-year-old Brazilian it was the eleventh goal of the season in 24 competitive games. “He’s been getting better and better for a few games, he’s improved a lot,” said Mauricio Pochettino afterwards.
The Argentine was “very happy with him,” he explained, adding: “He works a lot and has an incredible talent. It hasn’t been an easy season for him with the Copa America and injuries. He had no pre-season. Now, at the end of the season, he’s trying to get the best out of himself and he’s shown that with great performances.” However, Neymar is contractually bound to PSG until 2025, most recently there were rumors of a change in the summer. Whether that will happen remains to be seen.
