Turin –
Juventus can only draw 1-1 against Bologna in week 33 Liga Italy. The Bianconeri need an advantage in numbers and goals in injury time to escape defeat.
Juventus hosted Bologna at the Allianz Stadium, Saturday (16/4/2022) in the presence of their legend, Alessandro Del Piero, who ‘returned’ after a decade. Upbringing squad Massimiliano Allegri appear dominant, but less sharp in front of goal.
They created 23 chances, but only four were on target. Juventus even fell behind in the 52nd minute through Marko Arnautovic’s shot. In the 81st minute, then the situation began to ‘side’ Juventus.
Adama Soumaoro tackled Alvaro Morata as the forward only had to deal with goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski. Initially referee Juan Luca Sacchi gave a penalty, but with the help of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) the decision was overturned.
Replays saw Soumaoro tackle Morata just before going into the box, resulting in only a free-kick. Even so, Soumaoro was given a straight red card because it was considered disturbing the opportunity to score goals.
The situation made Gary Medel angry with Sacchi. He protested vehemently, earning him two yellow cards within seconds. After this chaos, Bologna left nine people on the field.

The advantage of the number of players gives Juventus an advantage in the remaining matches. Indeed, victory failed to be achieved, but one goal that was scored was enough to save them from defeat.
Through a corner kick situation, Morata’s overhead kick towards the Bologna goal turned into a bait for Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker finished it into a goal in the 90+4 minute, a few minutes before the game was over.

Allegri after the match implied that he was not satisfied with this result, but was still grateful for the one point achieved. Juventus remains in fourth place standings with 63 points, it is still safe to appear in the Champions League next season.
“At the beginning of the season, we usually lose when faced with situations like this one. So I see it as a glass that is half filled (optimistic). We obviously need to do better, but don’t get too depressed with this result,” Allegri told DAZN.
“The teams behind us are moving fast, Fiorentina have a more favorable schedule, Lazio and Roma are also chasing, we have to keep improving.”
