The objective of the MSP has been to take the vaccine to the entire country, promoting inoculation campaigns in all departments, town by town, and neighborhood by neighborhood in the metropolitan area, including business by business in some cases.
In this Tourism Week, mobile vaccination clinics toured the departments of Canelones, Treinta y Tres, Paysandú, Salto, Maldonado, Rocha and Colonia, as they are the places where the greatest tourist interest was concentrated these days.
According to data from the MSP vaccination monitor, 8,109,917 have been applied vaccines (2,977,029 first doses, 2,854,762 second doses, and 2,278,126 booster doses). In percentages, 84.03% of the population received one dose, 80.57% had two vaccines, and 64.3% received a booster dose.
The most advanced department in vaccination with third doses is Flores, where 72.95% of the population has all three vaccines. It is followed by Montevideo with 71.24%, Colonia 69.53%, Florida 67.09%, Artigas 66.67% and Lavalleja 66.57%.
By age group, the population between 65 and 74 years old has the highest percentages of vaccination. 97.69% have already received the booster dose, followed by those between 55 and 64 years old with 93.74%, and between 45 and 54 years old with 90.42%.
