YART’s #7 Yamaha took pole position at the 24 Hours Motos of Le Mans, with an average time of 1’35.080 for riders Karel Hanika, Marvin Fritz and Niccolo Canepa. The trio will open the grid in front of the #1 Suzuki of SERT, world champion motorcycle, and the #5 Honda of the FCC TSR team.
With the official BMW team and ERC Ducati to complete the top-5, there are five manufacturers in the top five places in qualifying. Tenth, the Team 18 Sapeurs Pompiers CMS Motostore and its Yamaha #18 occupy the place of best satellite team. Departure scheduled for 3 p.m. this Saturday.
