The Government Officially Disburses THR ASN and Pensioners This Year Is Bigger Than Last Year

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government has announced the composition of the holiday allowance (THR) and the 13th salary in 2022 for state civil servants (ASN) and retirees.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the composition of THR for ASN and retirees this year was adjusted by adding 50 percent of the monthly performance allowance.

From 2020 and 2021, the composition of THR for ASN is only in the form of basic salary, family allowance, food allowance, structural, functional, or general position allowance.

“For this year, we will add 50 percent of the performance allowance per month for those who get the performance allowance. So the amount is bigger than in 2021,” he said during a virtual press statement, Saturday (16/4/2022).

Reason for addition THR PNS This year

The addition of the THR composition for ASN and retirees this year takes into account the economic recovery and the handling of Covid-19 which is getting better this year.

Then, the condition of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) also experienced a recovery.

In addition, the provision of THR and 13th salary is also to be able to provide support to all state apparatus, TNI, Polri, and retirees.

“However, we also see new challenges that are extraordinary escalation, namely the result of the war in Ukraine which has caused spikes in the prices of energy, food and strategic commodities around the world,” he said.

The provision of THR and the 13th salary is a form of government appreciation to ASN

According to Sri Mulyani, the provision of THR and salaries of the 13 ASN and retirees is a form of government appreciation for the contribution and service of ASN and retirees after more than two years of dealing with the pandemic through various community services and efforts for national economic recovery.

This policy is also expected to encourage the acceleration of national economic recovery during the Covid-19 pandemic by increasing people’s purchasing power during the 2022 Eid al-Fitr period.

“This is also done by continuing to help the most vulnerable community groups through the addition and thickening of social assistance, including food street vendors who are also experiencing pressure from rising prices,” he said.
