Russian President Vladimir Putin earned 10.2 million rubles (over 113.3 thousand euros) in 2021, which is slightly more than his income declared for the previous year – 9.99 million rubles.
Information about the income of the Russian head of state was published on the Kremlin’s website, Interfax reported, quoted by Dnevnik.
The list of movable and immovable property declared by the president remains unchanged, with Putin declaring ownership of two 153- and 77-square-meter apartments and a garage, as well as two GAZ-M21 and Niva cars and a trailer.
Thus, the official income of the president turned out to be lower than that of his aide Vladimir Medinsky, who earned 106.7 million rubles and has more property than the president. Medinsky heads the Russian delegation for peace talks with Ukraine and is a former Russian culture minister. Two more of the president’s advisers, Vladimir Simonenko and Nikolai Patrushev, made more money, according to financial statements issued by the Kremlin on Friday.
Putin also took less from Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who declared 18.3 million rubles at the end of the year.
