The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service opened going home free to 17 districts and cities in 5 provinces of Indonesia. Homecoming This free package is opened for a quota of 19,680 people.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Service, Syafrin Liputo, said that this free homecoming can only be attended by a maximum of 4 people per family head and specifically for residents who live in DKI Jakarta. In addition, he said the homecoming departure would be divided into 2 groups.
“Departures will be divided into 2 types of vehicles, departures by truck to bring homecoming motorbikes on Tuesday 26 April 2022 located at Pulo Gadung Terminal and departure by Bus will be carried out on Wednesday 27 April 2022 located at Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal,” said Syafrin Liputo in his statement, Friday (15/4/2022).
He said this year’s free homecoming program was different from last year’s 2019 which only accommodated going home to 10 districts and cities. In fact, he said, the free homecoming this time facilitated travelers who wanted to go to Sumatra.
“The Free Homecoming and Return Program in 2022 is very special compared to the free homecoming program in 2019, previously there were only 10 destination cities/districts, now there are 17 destination cities/districts. Previously, only the island of Java now to the island of Sumatra,” he said.
The 17 cities and regencies for the free homecoming route are Palembang, Lampung, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Kebumen, Cilacap, Purwokerto, Solo, Wonosobo, Yogyakarta, Sragen, Wonogiri, Madiun, Kediri, Jombang and Malang. In this 2022 DKI Jakarta Free Homecoming program, prospective travelers are also advised to comply with health protocols by implementing 3M, namely maintaining distance, washing hands, and wearing masks.

“With online registration, it will be easier for DKI Jakarta residents to register to take part in this free homecoming program. Besides being integrated directly into the PeduliLindung application, prospective travelers can get more information by interacting directly through chatbots whenever needed,” he said.
“I hope the residents of DKI Jakarta can be helped by this program to stay in touch with their beloved family in their hometown and stay in a healthy condition,” he continued.
