AMSTERDAM – The fines, which Amsterdam nightclubs received because of the massive illegal opening on February 12 of this year, will all be waived by mayor Femke Halsema. The initiative ‘The night rises’ was a protest from the club scene against the enormously long closure due to corona. As a result, many were almost on the verge of falling over. The mayor indicates that it concerns a ‘high exception’ ‘due to special circumstances’.
