An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was registered in the area of the island of Crete at 22:35 on Wednesday, the Greek agency ANA-MPA reported.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory, its epicenter was 369 km southeast of Athens and at a depth of 23 km.
No casualties were reported.
