If it seems to you that it is already impossible to come up with another weird and crazy way to play the game from From Software, then you are mistaken. For example, you can always overcome Dark Souls 3without using the movement keys (or sticks) at all.
This is exactly what YouTuber ymfah did – he turned off the left stick of the controller altogether and moved with the help of normal attacks and the Quick Step skill. Of course, this method turned out to be very inefficient, so that on its way the gamer died more often than we would like. But still, he, pardon the pun, passed the game.
Here is what ymfah himself says about it:
I like to challenge myself with interesting ideas. More precisely, I like to solve puzzle-like problems. I set a strict goal for myself, plan everything in advance using knowledge about the game, and when I meet an unexpected obstacle, I try to overcome it with new and interesting ideas. I play on PC so I used the Steam controller settings to disable the left stick.
Now ymfah plans to repeat his feat in Elden Ring.
