Jakarta International Stadium has been opened for events International Youth Championship (IYC) 2022. The stadium with a capacity of 82 thousand spectators is so magnificent.
IYC was the first event to be held at JIS after the stadium was completed. There are four teams that appear at the IYC, namely Indonesia All Star U-20, Bali United U-18, Atletico Madrid U-18, and Barcelona U-18.
The opening match has been held by bringing together Bali United Vs Atletico Madrid, Wednesday (13/4/2022), afternoon, WIB. In the evening, the Indonesia All Star match against Barcelona, which was attended by detikSport.

After arriving at JIS, journalists need to climb stairs from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor to enter the media room where they work. To enter the media tribune, journalists need to go up 1 more floor to the 3rd floor by using an elevator. There are no stairs to get to the 3rd floor.

There was also a boisterous atmosphere from the audience because the IYC event allowed a limited number of people to attend. The committee spreads 2500 invited spectators per match.
Visibility from the stands to the field is one of the advantages of JIS Stadium. Because there is no running track that is usually a package in the majority of Indonesian stadiums.
JIS Stadium is indeed included in the category of soccer specific stadium so that it provides a different viewing sensation for the spectators who attend. For example, the distance between the media tribune, which is located on the 3rd floor and the field, is not far away.
The movements of players in conditions with and without the ball are clearly visible. Likewise with the coach’s instructions to his players from the player bench.
This kind of thing cannot be felt by the audience in the majority of Indonesian stadiums, unless they buy VIP tickets. But VIP tickets are also not a guarantee, for example the SUGBK VIP stands are still far from the field.
Talking about the interior, this stadium uses orange single-seat seats in almost all corners of the stadium. The higher you go, the more the orange fades to create a gradation of color.

The roof of this stadium uses a retractable roof that covers all parts of the stands. Due to the retractable roof, this roof can be opened and closed in case it rains or in extreme weather when the event is being held.
There are also two jumbo-sized big screens in two corners of the stadium. Both screens measure 15 X 30 meters which can be used to present scores and videos.
The surface of the field uses a hybrid technology that mixes natural grass and artificial turf. Although the growth is not perfect because the stadium has not been completed for a long time.
JIS Stadium has completely taken over SUGBK’s status as the best and largest stadium in Indonesia. Can’t wait for the real event where the top-notch match will be held at Jakarta International Stadium with a full audience.
