The National Museum of African American History and Culture opened to the public on September 24, 2016, as the 19th museum of the Smithsonian Institution. It is the only national museum dedicated exclusively to documenting African-American life, history, and culture. Come see a collection of more than 40,000 artifacts that help Americans see how their histories, stories and cultures are shaped and informed by global influences. It is located in Washington D.C.
