Leader Chechen, Ramzan Kadyrovthanks to the Muslim countries of the world, including Indonesiawhich he claims to have supported Russia fight against Ukrainians who “commit universal crimes.”
Kadyrov, an accomplice to President Vladimir Putin, considers Russia a country that respects and protects the rights of Muslims in the world.
“On behalf of Russia’s 30 million Muslims, I would like to convey to all of you my sincere gratitude. May Allah SWT always bless you all,” Kadyrov said via statement released by the Russian Embassy in Jakarta on Sunday (10/4).
Among them are Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Indonesia[…] and so on,” he added.
Kadyrov said that as a Muslim, he felt very satisfied because the entire Islamic world was considered to support the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This, said Kadyrov, can be seen from the absence of any Muslim country that has imposed sanctions on Russia in the midst of embargoes and boycotts from the West.
“It is a great satisfaction to know that the entire Islamic world is supporting Russia in the fight against universal evil. Not a single Muslim-majority country has imposed sanctions on Russia,” he explained.
“I am proud that I am a Muslim and witnessed how all Muslims united with us and conveyed their firm position against the West!” Kadyrov added.
Kadyrov is a former opponent who is now a loyalist of Putin. Russia once invaded the Chechen Republic and fought two wars with Chechen separatists after the Soviet Union split in 1991.
The Republic of Chechnya is a Muslim-majority region in southern Russia. After annexing Chechnya, Russia poured large sums of money into the region to rebuild it and give Kadyrov extensive autonomy.
Meanwhile, Chechen troops did help Russia launch its invasion of Ukraine. Kadyrov claimed tens of thousands of his troops were also deployed to assist Russian troops in Ukraine.
