The release of 3rd Secret was a surprise to the public. The members did not talk much about the project. They recently played a secret concert in Seattle. Krist Novoselic once mentioned on Twitter that he was recording a record, but then he deleted the statement.

Frontman Eddie Vedder also released a solo album in February this year. Produced by Andrew Watt, it features a remarkable lineup of guests including Stevie Wonder, Ring Starr, Elton John and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
