The tailor underwent planned arthroscopic knee surgery after the NBA season

The tailor tore his front cruciate ligament in the left knee in September 2020 during a match for Zaragoza in the Spanish league and damaged both menisci. He was drafted into the NBA two months later. Washington chose him, but he immediately replaced the Czech national team in Oklahoma.

Last October, Krejčí made his overseas league debut after a long knee treatment. He played 30 games in the groundbreaking season, the last eight in the starting lineup, and improved his shooting record by 16 points against the Los Angeles Clippers at the end of the regular season on Sunday. He finished his first year in the NBA with averages of 6.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists. He and Oklahoma were a long way from advancing to the playoffs.

Already in March, Krejčí announced that he would have surgery after the season to clean and check his knee. He left open his work in the national team, which is waiting for the qualification to advance to the World Cup and the September European Championship.
