The first forum for professions in the support of the elderly organized by the Department took place this Tuesday, April 12 at the Parc des expositions de Chalon-sur-Saône. 400 job vacancies were to be filled in the support and personal assistance sector, an area where the workforce is in short supply. This forum was born following six months of consultation with professionals in the sector. “Accompaniment and home care are our priorities for this mandate, supports André Accary, president of the Department. We must mobilize on these subjects. It’s done with this event which “gives visibility and highlights professions that are sometimes unknown in the sector”. Focus on four professions of support for the elderly: caregiver, home help, nurse and family carer.
