Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, Vivoofficially released smartphone The first folding screen, named Vivo X Fold. This phone is said to be a tight competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold.
At first glance, the Vivo X Fold is similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, with two screens that can be combined when folded.
On the outside, the Vivo X Fold has a 6.53-inch AMOLED display and an 8.03-inch AMOLED E5 display on the inside with a resolution of 1800 x 2200 px at 120 Hz and HDR10+. The inner screen also uses LTPO2 SCHOTT UTG, which is an ultra-thin glass that is also used in Samsung’s folding cellphones.
Not only that, the screen also has an A+ recommendation from Display Mate. The Vivo X Fold features two in-display fingerprint scanners that use ultrasonic technology instead of optics.
The hinges are aircraft-grade floating wing hinges. This allows the vivo X Fold to close flat, and stay open at an angle between 60 and 120 degrees GSMArena.
Vivo X Fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip with 12GB of RAM. This smart phone is also supported by a 4,600mAh battery with fast charging which is strong enough to support daily activities.
In addition, the Vivo X Fold is also equipped with a 66W cable that can make the battery charging time complete 100 percent in just 37 minutes. Another feature is wireless charging up to 50W and reverse charging wirelessly at 10W at the same time.
For the camera, the Vivo X Fold is said to be superior to that of the Samsung Galaxy. The main camera is equipped with a 50 MP/f1.8 with OIS in front of the Samsung GN5 1/1.57-inch sensor, a 12MP f/2.4 2x (47mm) zoom camera, a 5x periscope zoom camera (with 60x digital zoom), and a 48MP camera. f/2.2 114 degrees ultrawide.
The Zeiss brand seen near the rear camera shows that Vivo is working closely with the makers. Zeiss adds Texture Portrait features, Motion Capture 3.0, Zeiss Super Night Scene, Zeiss Nature Color and more.
There are two selfie cameras on the X Fold – one on the inside and one on the outside.
The Vivo X Fold also allows you to run two apps side-by-side on the larger inner screen. At the same time, you can also run open windows at the top of the screen for a richer multitasking experience.
Vivo X Fold will be exclusively sold in China for the initial stages starting April 22, 2022. There are three colors offered, namely Black, Blue, and Gray which are priced at US $ 1,415 or around Rp. 20.3 million.
