JAKARTA – Immunization has enormous benefits, and needs to be done regularly. Immunizations that should be carried out since infancy are still widely ignored by the community.

According to Plt. director. Immunization Management, Ministry of Health , dr. Prima Yosephine, immunization is an effort to actively raise or increase a person’s immunity against a disease.

“So now we are not only pursuing complete basic immunizations, but also pursuing complete routine immunizations,” said Dr Prima in the official website of the Ministry of Health, Tuesday (12/4/2022).

On the same occasion, pediatrician, dr. Arifianto, Sp.A(K), said that chase immunization is an effort to provide immunization to individuals because one or more doses of vaccine are left behind than they should be given.

Immunization produces an immunological response even though it is still below the threshold level of protection, or has not achieved protection for a long period of time.

However, doctors still need to continue and complete immunizations in order to achieve optimal levels of protection.

“This is important, as evidenced by the timeliness of immunization according to the schedule, the level of immunity will be achieved against PD3I and will broadly prevent outbreaks,” said Dr Arifianto.
