YouTube has implemented different functions dedicated to the moderation of comments. Some work automatically thanks to machine learning and others try to make it easier for creators.
However, nothing seems to work and spam comments have become a great nuisance, since they exceed any effort made by youtubers. And it’s not just about trolls, but the comments section has also become a favorite place for scammers, who direct users away from the app.
The YouTube team is tackling the issue again with a new dynamic. At the moment, it is only a test, but it already shows what is the new strategy that they seek to implement to combat spam in the comments. The idea is to apply a stricter moderation system.
