People in Sri Lanka lack food, medicine and fuel. Thousands are now protesting in the streets demanding that the president and his brothers go where they come from.

When the power went out for several hours every day, Sunil Senadheera also lost her job at the furniture manufacturer in the small town of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka.

– The boss can not afford to run a generator when diesel prices have become so high. And even if he could afford it, you have to stand in line for 2-3 days to buy diesel, the 42-year-old tells the newspaper The Island.
