China renews yellow alert for thick fog – Xinhua English.news.cn

BEIJING, April 11 (Xinhua) — China’s national observatory on Monday renewed its yellow alert for heavy fog in parts of the country.

From Monday morning to Tuesday morning, heavy fog is expected to shroud parts of the Yellow Sea and East China Sea, coastal waters of the Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula, Zhejiang and Fujian, as well as the waters near the mouth of the Yangtze River, the National Meteorological Center said.

Visibility in affected areas will be reduced to less than 1,000 meters, according to the center.

He advised drivers to slow down to a safe speed, and airports, highways and ports to take appropriate security measures.

China has a four-color weather warning system, with red representing the highest level, followed by orange, yellow and blue. End
