Elon Musk will not join the Twitter board. This was announced by Parag Agrawal, CEO of the company, with a tweet.
“The appointment of Elon as a member of the board should have taken effect on April 9, but the same morning Elon announced that he would not be joining the board. I believe that is the best solution. We have always considered, and will continue to do so, the input from our shareholders, regardless of whether they are on the board or not. Elon is our largest shareholder and we are ready to accommodate your requests, “Agrawal said. Musk recently announced that he has acquired more than 9% of the shares of Twitter, becoming the main shareholder of the company. The tycoon had agreed not to rise above the 14.9% threshold during his time on the board.
