On Sunday evening, two police patrols moved out to Værnes airport outside Trondheim after reports that 15-20 drunk minors had entered the airport.
The young people stayed at the baggage claim, and refused to follow the employees’ requests to leave the airport.
When the two police patrols arrived, the situation deteriorated.
– The young people acted against the patrols, says operations manager Kirsten Bergstrøm to TV 2.
The police therefore had to call in reinforcements from Trondheim.
According to Adresseavisen there were four police patrols and two ambulances present at the airport.
– Four people were arrested and taken to the station. One person was arrested, and among other things charged with violence against a public official, Bergstrøm states.
The operations manager further says that no one was injured as a result of the riots.
