During this year’s Oscars, Will Smith and Chris Rock became the big talking point. When Rock was about to award the prize for best documentary, he made fun of, among other things, the weld of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Will Smith then went up on stage and coffee to the comedian, before returning to his place. He must have stayed asked to leave the hall, but refuse to go. Rock is also said to have refused to report the attack to the police.
Later in the evening, Smith received the award for best male lead, and then regretted what had happened.

Now the academy is cracking down on Smith’s behavior. The board of the organization has decided that the shooter will be banned from all events under the auspices of the academy, including the Oscar show.
In a statement, they write that this year’s Oscar award was meant to be a celebration of everyone who had contributed to the work in the American film industry over the past year.
– But all this came in the shadow of the unacceptable behavior Mr. Smith showed on stage, they write.
The leadership of the organization says they now want to put this incident behind them, and rather look ahead, write them in the open letter.
Accepts the decision
Shortly after the decision of the academy became known, Will Smith also came up with a short statement, write Deadline.
– I accept and respect the Academy’s decision, he said.
Smith withdrew from the Academy last week. In an open letter, he wrote that the actions were not in accordance with being a member. And apologize to the family, Chris Rock and others who were present during the award ceremony.
