A hacker group boasted that it managed to break through the cameras in the Kremlin’s conference halls. The Anonymous posted footage on social media claiming to be from conference halls and government offices. According to the hackers themselves, the conversations of the administration can be eavesdropped on by the cameras in the building.
They emphasize that they will not stop their campaign to seize information from the Russian cabinet, whose secrets they want to reveal. The “Anonymous” has already broken the defense and gained access to the websites of a number of Russian state institutions, writes a British publication.
It is inconceivable how such a large state administration has access to its conference halls via the Internet, cybersecurity expert Lyubomir Tulev told NovaNews.
“We are talking about a huge ignorance here and obviously someone has not done their job. Corruption and ignorance have led hackers to break into systems. We can’t be sure that these are really the halls of the Kremlin, but since the Anonymous claims so, there is no doubt about it. They have repeatedly disseminated incriminating information, “he added.
The expert added that hackers probably had access to the halls through cameras long before the information was released. “This is a very strong asset. It is very likely that they provided information to the Ukrainian authorities in advance, “Tulev added.
According to him, the hacker attack is not limited to the Russian government, but is also aimed at all Western companies that have not yet withdrawn their companies from Russia.
