Epic Games and Lego enter into a partnership to create a VR playground for children.
The Epic boss is looking forward to working with Lego
“We look forward to working together to build a place in the meta-verse that is fun, entertaining and created for children and families,” said Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney in the press release.
There are currently few details about the experience itself other than that the partnership between the two is long-lasting. The two companies are probably aware that VR is still a young medium, and that they will probably need time to try and fail.
Says they should create a safe environment for the children
It will be exciting to see what the two can do with Lego pieces in VR, and combine this with Epic Games’ deep roots in gaming.
As the meta-verse evolves, it changes how people meet, play, work, learn and interact in a virtual 3D world. Lego Group and Epic Games will combine their extensive experience to ensure that this next iteration of the web is designed from the ground up for children’s well-being.
