A man from Eigersund was remanded in custody in March and is charged with violating sections 299 and 305.
These sections deal with rape and sexually abusive behavior towards children under 14 years of age.
The man has pleaded guilty to all charges in the charge. He was remanded in custody for four weeks with letter and visitation control.
The accused worked as a youth worker in Eigersund.
According to the prison sentence, he had direct contact with the victims through the job.
The ruling states that the man must have had contact with about 20-25 young people. The investigation has revealed that there are several.
Offended between 11 and 14 years
Police attorney Fredrik Martin Soma tells on Thursday Dalane Tidende Thursday that the charge has now been extended.
– The charge has been expanded, and several matters have been revealed. I can confirm that he has admitted abuse, also physically. How many people he thinks we have physically raped, we currently keep to ourselves, says police attorney Fredrik Martin Soma to Dalane Tidende.
– All the offended are children aged 11 to 14 years. There is talk of both cyber rapes and physical rapes, says police lawyer Soma Aftenbladet.
Soma will not say how many are now offended in the case.
Consent to imprisonment
The accused’s defense counsel, lawyer Tor Inge Borgersen, says Aftenbladet that his client will not oppose further imprisonment.
– Beyond that, I can say that my client cooperates with the police. Otherwise, I have no comments on the charge at this time, says the defender.
Dalane Tidende writes that the case has hit like a bomb in Eigersund. The municipality has set up a working group to work on the case.
