German coach Ralf Rangnick has been a temporary solution on the Manchester United bench since the beginning. According to the plan, the football expert is to be transferred to the position of advisor and consultant at the end of the current season, and the position of head coach is to be filled by a new helmsman. According to ESPN, the “red devils” have already decided.

The saga of choosing a new club coach from Old Trafford has been going on for several months, and the names of many candidates have appeared in the media. There was talk, among others, of Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann, Julen Lopetegui or Luis Enrique. For a while, Ralf Rangnick’s continued involvement as a coach was even considered in the media, but this idea was abandoned due to the poor results he achieved.

The final choice of his successor will be according to ESPN information limited to two coaches – Mauricia Pochettina of Paris Saint-Germain and Erika ten Haga of Ajax Amsterdam. According to ESPN, the original favorite was the first named, but the management of Manchester United finally decided to bet on the Dutchman.

So the new coach seems to be Erik ten Hag. Negotiations with the English big club are allegedly already at the finish line.

The reasons for such a decision can be found in purely sports and financial matters. The compensation that the Premier League club will have to pay to Ajax Amsterdam for prematurely terminating its collaboration with Erik ten Hag amounts to “only” 2 million euros, while Paris Saint-Germain wanted more than 15 million euros for Mauritius Pochettin.

In addition, Manchester United has reportedly decided not to bring in an Argentine coach because he recently dropped out with perhaps the richest club on the planet from the Champions League and his name is currently associated with failure.

Erik ten Hag has previously stated that he is ready to leave the team of the Dutch champion after the season, so the question of his arrival in the British Isles is already in the finalization stage.
