Ukraine will not be able to feel secure until a high wall of fortifications is built along the entire border with Russia, Dmitro Zhivicki, the head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, said on Wednesday.

“Until we build a wall – and it has to be a real construction of fortifications – along the entire Ukrainian border with Mordor, we will never feel safe, especially in the border areas. As well as the whole country, ”said Živickis.

He noted that it must be a five-meter wall – “both in height and width”. Živickis was convinced that a line of defense should be established along with the wall – stationary fortifications and support points.

“And the whole border line with Russia must be protected not only by a wall – there must be soldiers here at all times,” said the head of the Sumy district.

In 2014, after the Russian aggression in Crimea and Donbass, Ukraine began building the so-called European Wall on the border with Russia. Completion of construction was announced in January this year. However, this rampart, also known as the “Wall”, did not save Ukraine from a full-scale Russian invasion.
