European countries expel more than 300 Russian diplomats

“18 countries (EU, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Greece, Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Macedonia, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark) together kicked out 318 (!) Russian ” diplomats,” the statement said.

At the same time, the Foreign Minister noted that diplomatic battles continue: battles for a complete oil, gas and coal embargo, for the closure of world ports for all Russian ships and goods, for disconnecting all Russian banks from SWIFT.

“A separate struggle is blocking ways to bypass sanctions and preventing unreasonable exceptions from already applied sanctions,” the minister stressed.

In addition, last night it became known that Croatia is also expelling part of the Russian diplomatic mission in Zagreb in response to what is happening in Ukraine.

As reported, the European Union announced on the prepared fifth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation in response to its war against Ukraine, and also expanded the lists of persons against whom sanctions are applied.
