TV: Courtois pays tribute to Benzema: “Best striker in the world”

Real Madrid star Karim Benzema impressed on Wednesday night with a hat trick in the 3-1 victory against Chelsea in the first quarter-final meeting in the Champions League. Thus, the striker is now listed for 37 goals in 36 appearances this season.

Now goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois goes out and pays tribute to the attacking star.

– He does it very well and finds the goal, but I do not think it is something new. Last season, the year before and when he played with Bale and Ronaldo, he was also a great striker. You do not always get in the goals, which we now get in with him, the Belgian says to C More and continues:

– He plays at a really high level and is perhaps the best striker in the world right now. He shows it in the important matches. I am very happy and I hope we can score more goals next week, he says

Coach Carlo Ancelotti is also more than happy with Benzema’s performance.

– He is a fantastic player and a fantastic striker. He scored three goals tonight, but he also played very well with and without the ball. It was a fantastic achievement, says the coach to C More.

Why is he doing so well?
– He has developed his leadership and he knows that he is a very important player for the team. Everyone has great respect for him as a player, and he feels it. He thinks it feels good to be in Real Madrid.

All matches in the Champions League play-offs are broadcast live on Telia and C More.
