(Molde – Strømsgodset 3-0) Magnus Wolff Eikrem made sure that Molde fans can book a trip to Oslo and the cup final on 1 May.

After two years without a cup final due to a pandemic, there will be a football party at Ullevaal Stadium. And on Wednesday night it became clear that Molde will meet either Bodø / Glimt or Viking.
Molde captain Magnus Wolff Eikrem took responsibility. After 58 minutes, he scored the first of the match. Eikrem was played by Etzaz Hussain, before he rolled the ball into the far corner for Strømsgodset goalkeeper Morten Sætra.
– It was very fun to get to the final, I played in the final in 2014 as well, so it will be fun, says Etzaz Hussain to NRK.
Molde became cup champions for the first time in 1994, after beating Lyn 3-2. Now they will play for their fifth NM title. This will be Molde’s eighth cup final.
–After 78 minutes, Eikrem scored another goal, and was able to cheer in front of the home fans at Aker Stadium.
And when the clock ticked towards the end, substitute Ari Leifsson put the ball in his own net with the thigh for the guests from Drammen four minutes before the end.
Strømsgodet coach Håkon Wibe Lund was disappointed.
– We give away some stupid goals, then it will unfortunately be Molde that goes on. We feel the disappointment, we are very close to reaching a final, Lund says to NRK.
The cup final will be played on 1 May. And it will be a historic final, because it is the first time a Norwegian cup final in football is played in May. The cup final is usually played in October or November.
Bodø / Glimt will meet Viking in the second semifinal on 21 April.
