LG’s latest mobiles are slowly but surely being updated

In the second quarter of this year, three LG smartphones will receive Android 12 from a manufacturer that has retired from the mobile market.

LG has exited the mobile market, but has promised to keep its latest handsets alive, with regular updates until the summer of 2025. LG holds its promise, and three of its devices will soon receive Android 12. Three more will receive security updates.

With this, LG is very slow, but so it was even then with updates, when the brand was still active in the sector. In the second quarter, however, the LG Q92 5G, LG V50 ThinQ and LG V50S ThinQ switched to Android 12. You get a security update for the LG Q52, LG Wing and LG Velvet.

Of course, as is customary, South Korean devices will be updated first, and if everything is found to be fine, then the other devices will get the package. LG also recommends a backup, because although everything will be fine in principle, data may be lost when you switch to Android 12.
