An 80-year-old man from Tilburg was arrested last Tuesday. He allegedly performed sexual acts on a minor.
The suspect took the child to after-school care. The sexual abuse would have happened during transport to that shelter, the police said.
The victim’s parents have been informed by the police. Assistance is arranged for them if necessary.
“In the interest of all involved, we will not make any further announcements about this investigation,” the police said.
