Six Ukrainian men who tried to reach Romania crossing the alpine border through the Maramureş Mountains, at an altitude of almost 1,900 meters.

They were recovered by the Ukrainian border guards, said on Tuesday evening, the spokesperson of CJSU Maramureş, Dan Bucă.

According to him, the Maramures border police informed the Ukrainian authorities about the possible wandering of some people in the area of ​​the Pop Ivan massif for conducting joint investigations on the issues notified by phone.

Authorities in Ukraine later announced that they had discovered six people on their territory.
