PSG superstar Neymar jokingly responded to a previously untrue allegation by a journalist following his dream goal in last Sunday’s Ligue 1 game against FC Lorient.
“I was ‘drunk’ so it worked… as they say around here,” Neymar wrote in his caption to the goal video Instagram-Story.
A clear dig at the 30-year-old Brazilian against French radio reporter Daniel Riolo RMC Sport. He had claimed in March that Neymar “went to training drunk”.

This claim not only outraged Neymar but also his team-mate at the Brazil national team, Lucas Paqueta. “It’s disrespectful to Neymar. I don’t believe it. Some people talk too much,” said the Olympique Lyon player.
Now Neymar couldn’t resist to give his own answer after the Lorient game. He took to social media to jokingly explain how he managed to score his second goal.
Neymar hits a dream after a one-two
Against Lorient, Neymar experienced one of his few bright days of the season so far. All PSG goals were worth watching in the 5-1 win, but Neymar’s goal stood out.
He drove the ball forward from his own half, after a wonderful one-two with Kylian Mbappe, he was free in front of the Lorient keeper and gave him no chance to defend himself.
