More than 1.8 million people took part in the survey five hours after the release, 75% of people are in favor of introducing a new button, and only 25% of Twitter users are against it. It will be possible to vote all Tuesday.

However, it must be emphasized that the survey is not representative and nothing directly follows. However, the newly acquired company share automatically provides Musk with a better “hearing” on Twitter’s management. Until now, the company has remained indifferent to the long-standing requirements of users to be able to edit already written and published posts.

Reuters reports that Musk owns 73.5 million shares in Twitter. According to their final price on Friday, its share is worth $ 2.89 billion (about CZK 64 billion) and corresponds to a 9.2% stake in the company.

He doesn’t care about Twitter management
Meanwhile, Musk kept to himself about his plans with Twitter. The fact that he reported his acquired stake in the company to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Form 13G according to the DPA means that he is not seeking to actively influence its business policy or to sit on the supervisory board. In that case, he would have to fill out a form called 13D. Shares of Twitter still gained more than 27 percent at the end of Monday’s trading after the announcement.

Twitter boss Parag Agrawal allowed himself a decent push by his new biggest shareholder. Agrawal commented on Musk’s survey and commented: “The consequences of this survey will be significant. Please vote carefully. “

With this sentence, a few days ago, before announcing his entry into the company, Musk asked Twitter users for their opinion on freedom of speech in this service.
