Europeans have a special “gene” that prevents them from coexisting with Russia for the common good, but even so, the two countries can get used to each other. This opinion was shared by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Russian television “Russia-1”, TASS reported.
Peskov answered a question from a Russian journalist why in recent years the constructive principle has not prevailed in the relations between Russia and the EU, but some “nonsense” and a demonized image of Moscow sculpted by European politicians, the agency said.
“Europeans have a gene that prevents them from shaking off this nonsense and coexisting with us. It was an extra chromosome, it was something else, but they have it, “said the spokesman, who spoke with irony, according to TASS.
“On the other hand, you can learn (to live) with this extra chromosome – whether it’s superfluous or lost, I don’t know,” he added. In Peskov’s words, “we can still get used to each other in this situation.”
