The covid-19 vaccine in pregnant women is not associated with congenital defects that can be detected with an ultrasound, according to a study by Northwestern University (USA), which has searched for lifelong and serious problems to those of short duration and mild.
The study published by Jama Pedriatric shows that “there is no increased risk of birth defects and supports other evidence that the vaccine is safe and beneficial for mother and baby,” according to Rachel Ruderman, one of the authors.
