A hundred or so Eurelian students gathered this Friday at the Hôtel du Département, in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), on the occasion of the 2022 edition of the Departmental Children’s Congress organized by l’USEP28 (Sports Union of Primary Education).
They were welcomed on site by Christophe Le Dorven, President of the Departmental Council and Emmanuelle Boutet-Gélineau, before taking part in sports workshops around the values of the Republic and of Olympism.
Sports practice with young people
The Departmental Council, through its association with USEP, is mobilizing for the development of sports practice among young people.
This translates into the organization of training for teachers, purchases of equipment, events in schools, etc.
This year again, the Departmental Council is a partner of the Children’s Congress USEpiens worn by USEP28. On this occasion, a hundred students from Chartresfrom Janville and of Chartainvilliers discovered the headquarters of the Place Châtelet Department and took part in sports workshops on the Eure-et-Loir Campus site.
On the copious program of the day a visit to the hemicycle of the Departmental Council and presentation of the missions of the assembly, sports workshops and around the values of the Republic and Olympism continued in the afternoon after a picnic fuck.
An annual budget of 1,074,000 euros
The Congress took place in plenary assembly with presentation of proposals, voting and protocol time before attacking a Flashmob.
Beyond this day and because sport is at the heart of many educational issues, it is also an opportunity to discuss training, the development of social ties, public health, active citizenship, the quality of life and the attractiveness of our territory.
The Department devotes a budget of €1,074,335 for the year 2022 around two axes on the theme of sport: the development of sports practice, the influence of eurelian sport via high-level sports and access to high-level sports, titled athletes and those with high potential, demonstrations or events of animation, promotion and attractiveness of the territory.
For aspects relating to the sports association life in connection with the schoolEure-et-Loir joins forces with USEP.
€48,360 for USEP 28
The Department granted an operating subsidy of €10,000 as aid to departmental committees and related sports associations as well as the payment of €38,360 (corresponding to the aid system of 3. €50) to the number of members under 18 in 68 school sports associations affiliated with USEP 28, i.e. 10,960 members (5,588 girls, 5,372 boys).

What is planned throughout the year
In 2022, among the association projectsthe Department has selected the following actions and/or projects:
- Organization of departmental training and discovery evenings of a discipline for teachers from affiliated schools,
- Purchase of equipment for the organization of workshops and for the loan to affiliated schools.
- Organization of sports classes: monthly meetings on handball, “running, jumping and throwing”, secularism, table tennis, tennis, golf, the little ball, Anim’athlé and anim’cross, the P’tits Tours (cycling trip by sector) and Orientation hike,
- Activities in schools (health crisis) during Olympic and Paralympic week (January 24 to 28, 2022) where CD 28 mobilized high-level clubs to produce video sports exercises for students: CCBF and CCRugby,
- Organization of the Departmental Children’s Congress on April 1, 2022 with elite and high-level access clubs and Eurelian athletes, ambassadors of Eurelian sport,
- Action in reference to the Terre de Jeux 2024 and Génération 2024 label,
- Reception for a presentation of the missions of CD 28 in the hemicycle then sports workshops at Eure-et-Loir Campus in the presence of Morenoboxer ambassador of Eurelian sport and six CCBM players,
- Organization du Grand Cyclo Tour from June 20 to 24, 2022. For students from CE2 to CM2, a two- or three-day long cycling trip to reach Maintenon, Maintenon castle, on June 23, the national date of Olympic and Paralympic Day.
