NHL | The cancer is in the terminal stage. The hockey legend loses the fight against the insidious disease

Several sources report that lung cancer is in the terminal stage of Bossy, who has been an avid smoker during his active playing career.

Palliative care is provided to the wing striker, who was chosen as one of the 100 best players in the history of the NHL on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the NHL. He was said to have been released from the hospital in recent days to spend his last days with his family.

Unconfirmed reports also appeared; allegedly from a relative of Bossy; that a hockey legend can’t walk.

The Montreal native has spent his entire NHL career with the NY Islanders and has won the Stanley Cup four times in a row since 1980. Over the course of ten seasons in the NHL, he collected 573 goals and 1126 points in 752 basic games. He won the Lady Byng Trophy three times for his gentlemanly behavior, in 1978 he received the Calder Trophy for Best Rookie and four years later he was named the best player in the playoffs.

On average, he is the best player in NHL history, scoring third place behind Wayne Gretzky and Marie Lemieux in points statistics. In 1991, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. In 1984, he experienced a triumph at the Canadian Cup with his selection of Maple Leaf.

He had to close his career three years later at the age of 30 due to chronic back problems. Since 2015, he has worked for the Canadian television TVA Sports as a hockey expert, and last October he ended up in this role after being diagnosed with the disease.
