The OTK attack did not only target Sergeant Eka and his wife. Their toddler son was also a victim. The perpetrator injured the boy’s finger.

Regarding this incident, intelligence and security observer, Stanislaus Riyanta, expressed his views.

He said the incident in Yalimo was an act of terror. This is indicated by the condition of the victim.

What convinced Stanislaus even more that the Yalimo murder was an act of terror was that the perpetrator injured Sertu Eka’s and Sri’s children’s fingers.

“This is not an ordinary crime, this is an extraordinary crime,” he said when contacted by Kompas.com, Sunday (3/4/2022).
