There is a way to pay only half the fee in relation to the Rai 2022 fee. There are also several weeks for this.

Rai fee 2022, it is possible to pay it in half and thus partially compensate for the payment of the tax on the possession of at least one television in the house if it is not possible to take advantage of the total exemption. The latter situation is only for those affected by a few, specific exceptions.

For all the others, the Rai 2022 fee will also have to be paid, which, exactly as in recent years, amounts to 90 euros divided into ten installments of nine euros for the period from January to October. And the Rai 2022 fee is also included in the electricity bill. But it will be the last time.

At the direct disposal of the European Commission, which defined the incorporation of the fee directly into the electricity bill as not justifiable and not compliant with the rules, from 2023 there will no longer be this mode. Which, however, had contributed to greatly reduce tax evasion in relation to this decidedly very unloved tax.

If by that date you declare, through a specific request, that you do not have a television or a computer at home (Rai is freely available on its website, complete with on-demand services, ed), you will be entitled to enjoy a partial exemption. And the fee will cost only 45 euros instead of the usual 90, with the payment only covering five months.

But woe to declare falsehood. A sudden visit of a person in charge of the Revenue Agency, in order to ascertain whether or not we have told the truth. And if not, we would have committed a crime that includes very high fines – of at least 600 euros – and also a two-year prison sentence.
