The Bareskrim Polri said it would announce a new suspect in the Binomo case with the suspect Indra Kenz. The police have set new suspect.
“There are already (suspects),” said the Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) of the Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan when asked for confirmation, Saturday (2/4/2022).
Separately, the Head of Sub-Directorate II of the Dittipideksus Bareskrim Kombes Candra Sukma Kumara was reluctant to reveal the identity of the suspect. He only said there was one other person named as a suspect.
“One person,” said Candra.
Candra explained that the determination of the suspect will be explained by the Police Public Relations Division in full on Monday (4/4).
“Monday, the PR will release it,” he said when answering a question about the identity of the new suspect.
Previously, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police would hunt down anyone who cooperated with Indra Kenz in the case of fraud or fraudulent investments and the ML application for the Binomo application. Police hope that there will be other suspects besides Indra Kenz this week.
“Is it still there? There is, but don’t expose it first, later, in a week or two, next week, hopefully, we can find the suspect and what his role is,” said the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, during a press conference at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (25/3).
The police confirmed that they would continue to pursue anyone suspected of assisting and cooperating with Indra Kenz. The police will collect evidence related to the whereabouts of the new suspect.
“So we don’t stop here, I will go after who is helping this suspect, I will go after who will coordinate,” he said.
“We will also pursue where the assets are so that we all get the assets and later we will collect them, we will carry out the process of arresting the suspects and all of the evidence will be confiscated,” added Whisnu.
